This brass bus token was good for one ride to or back from the mine at Climax from Leadville. The Leadville Transit Company is no longer in business, and little can be found regarding its history. This token allowed many miners to report for work, mining molybdenum at the climax mine. Tokens were frequently used in lieu of cash in the early 1900s as the economies leaned heavy on the barter system.
